Hopefully, something like this won’t happen again but, Jered Eames fooled everyone by creating Threatin along with fake fans, management, website, PR firm, and booking a European tour. The group ended up performing in an empty room as details of the conspiracy emerged. Based on interviews, Jered somewhat admitted this was all a publicity stunt and how “fake news is easy to manufacture.” Since the shocking reveal, Threatin’s former bandmates won a lawsuit against Eames. However, that hasn’t stopped Jered from devising a comeback. Back in October, he somehow made headlines again, addressing how a documentary and film is in the works. Threatin returned to the Underground in London one year after his debunked performance and had a bizarre show that included bots, sex dolls, fake band t-shirts, and more.
