New & Noteworthy: Liturgy of Releases

New & Noteworthy is Metal Insider’s weekly column highlighting some of the newest rock and metal releases coming out each week. The first New Music Friday of February sees LPs from the likes of Puscifer, KMFDM, Mayhem and Tailgunner amongst the many outstanding works hitting shelves. February 6, 2026 Release Highlights:

Puscifer, Normal Isn’t (BMG):
The Maynard James Keenan-fronted project releases its fifth album. Keenan said the new LP “reflects this time we are living in. As storytellers and artists, our job is to observe, interpret, and report. We take in our environment and share what we see, and what we see around us does not appear normal.”

KMFDM, ENEMY (Metropolis):
The industrial legends release their 24th studio effort, which New Noise describes as “marking new strides from the project’s evolution from its experimental roots into danceable, politicized industrial rock.”

Mayhem, Liturgy of Death (Century Media):
The Norwegian black metal icons return with their seventh studio effort, this time tackling the “inescapable reality of death.” According to Blabbermouth, it’s a “merciless record — dark, fast, and unrelenting — that captures the band in their most dangerous and vital form.”

Tailgunner, Midnight Blitz (Napalm):
Produced by K.K. Downing (KK’s Priest), the British metal band’s sophomore album “draws heavily from classic British Heavy Metal, but just like those influences, the band are determined to push forward.”
