It has been since 2022 since Stormruler released an album. Toward the end of the year, bands typically share an update or reflection, and the group’s message felt ominous. While nothing was confirmed outright, it strongly hinted that new music may be on the way. The band issued the following statement:
“The Banners of Thornhill have been raised and through the Starcrest they ride. The cries of battle and clashing steel ring through the northern valleys. A new age of war is on the horizon”
