It wasn’t until the final morning that the ship’s sole representative of the genre, Destinity, took the stage. 70000tons gave the French outfit the spotlight to prove themselves, and they more than delivered.
What followed was a surprising burst of energy, an exhilarating set making coffee almost unnecessary. Destinity radiated skill and intensity, bringing a fresh take on the beloved subgenre. For a band that has been around nearly thirty years, they are just getting started with exhilarating energy. This is exactly what makes the cruise unique: international acts that may be bigger overseas but less familiar in North America. Destinity are a name worth keeping on the radar.
