Standout Moment(s):
A massive stage presence, charisma, and something to watch no matter where you look, Germany’s In Extremo does it all. Rightfully so, the medieval folk metallers claimed the 7:00 PM hour for both of their sets, performing on the two best stages the cruise has to offer: the Royal Theater and the Pool Deck. We caught their performance in the Royal Theater, where bright lights amplified their charismatic, energetic, and powerful set. It’s easy to see why the band has returned four times and continues to give the North American portion of cruisers a rare chance to see them live.

Latest In Extremo News
2025 marks a significant milestone for the band, their thirtieth anniversary. The German medieval folk metal outfit celebrated three decades of existence with a special 30th Anniversary festival, 30 Jahre In Extremo – Das Jubiläumsfestival, held September 4th, 5th, and 6th at the Lorelei Open Air Stage, with In Extremo headlining each night. But they aren’t wrapping up 2025 just yet. This December, they’ll embark on another round of anniversary shows, heading out on the Rauhnächte tour with a special setlist. The band also has more planned in store for 2026. Tickets and tour dates are available at this location.

What is the Artist Spotlight?
Well, it’s more than a review of their performance; as 70000tons goes, each band is a headliner, and we treat each one as such, giving them their own spread, discussing who they are and what they’ve been up to since the cruise. Each spotlight coincides with any updates from 70000tons organizers (if any), leading to days before setting sail. An extensive coverage like no other.
