Standout Moment(s):
While notable and memorable, black metal bands for the 2025 edition of the cruise were far and few between. Unfortunately, due to scheduling conflicts and to avoid the Star Lounge, we were only able to catch Mork’s first set on the second day in the dark-lit, high-stage theater, that is Studio B. The lights bled out blues and reds, colors fit for the Norwegian black metal outfit’s atmosphere. Ripping with musical intensity, it was a fuel-driven set that captivated those who were lucky to make it.

Latest Mork News
There will be more Mork moving into 2026. Loads more. The group already has a handful of tour dates, as early as January, including stops in Mongolia, Taiwan, and Australia. For tickets and a complete set of tour dates, check out their website. As for new music? Looks like we will hear a follow-up to 2024’s Syv. As of yesterday (17th), the group revealed mastering is almost complete for their “next chapter.”
What is the Artist Spotlight?
Well, it’s more than a review of their performance; as 70000tons goes, each band is a headliner, and we treat each one as such, giving them their own spread, discussing who they are and what they’ve been up to since the cruise. Each spotlight coincides with any updates from 70000tons organizers (if any), leading to days before setting sail. An extensive coverage like no other.
