It’s been quite a week in music. The music world has been hit with quite a few losses including Eddie Money, Ric Ocasek (The Cars), Mick Schauer (former Clutch keyboardist), Tony Mills (former TNT, SHY singer), and Larry Wallis (original Motörhead guitarist). There’s also been a significant lineup change in Kreator as they welcomed ex-Dragonforce bassist Frédéric Leclercq.
Unsurprisingly, it’s been another big week for Metallica as the band has been reported as the biggest all-time touring band and their music ended up blasting in the White House. In case you missed it, you should also check out two videos that has gone viral this week: a woman covering Drowning Pool’s “Bodies” and a contestant on Germany’s The Voice amazed judges over her Lamb of God cover. Our hopes have also gone up and down as System of a Down have once again shot down any chance for a new album while Tool’s Danny Carey mentioned there’s enough material for another record and Ozzy Osbourne surprised us by revealing he’s completed work on a new solo offering.
With that being said, there’s always New & Noteworthy music to explore as we’ve seen new albums such as Exhorder, The Agonist, and Urn arrive. Sleeping With Sirens’ new album, How it Feels to Be Lost, sure didn’t get lost in charts this week. We’ve also seen quite a few videos and songs released this week. And don’t forget the tours as Ensiferum finally revealed their North American tour dates with Kalmah, Abigail Williams, and Aenimus.

07) Former Ghost members to have their appeal heard in March 2020
Despite being rejected earlier this year, according to the Swedish newspaper Östgöta Correspondenten via Ultimate Guitar, former Ghost members will have their appeal heard to the Göta court in Jönköping, Sweden in March 2020. The case, which was originally dismissed in October 2018 has been faced with many delays due to legalities as well as all parties involved busy schedule. However, this update has coincidentally arrived just in time for Ghost’s North American tour. However, frontman Tobias Forge has been “perfectly OK” with the lawsuit as four former Nameless Ghouls sued him back in April 2017 accusing the singer of cheating them out on their rightful share of profits from the band’s tours and album sales.
The trial, which took place in October 2018, lasted for only six days. After a 108-page document, the decision was made and the case was dismissed. Former members Simon Söderberg, Mauro Rubino, Henrik Palm and Martin Hjertstedt ended up owing Forge over 1.3 Million SEK, which is equivalent to over 145,000 USD.
