November 8, 2024 Release Highlights:

Primal Scream, Come Ahead (BMG):
After eight years, the Scottish rock band releases its 12th studio effort, hitting on themes of conflict, compassion and hope while being some of frontman Bobby Gillespie’s most personal songwriting to date.

State Champs, State Champs (Pure Noise):
With their fifth studio album, the pop-punk band releases its most definitive work to date. Said frontman Derek DiScanio in a press release, “We found our way, through the ups and downs within us, personally and as a band, and wanted to express that.”

Various Artists, The Shape of Punk to Come Obliterated (Epitaph):
Refused celebrate the 25th anniversary of their seminal hardcore album by tapping contemporaries such as Quicksand, Snapcase, Fucked Up, Ho99o9 and Touche Amore to cover each track.

Bad Astronaut, Untethered (Fat Wreck Chords):
For their first album in 18 years, the punk band (fronted by Lagwagon’s Joey Cape) breaks down nine of their tracks into acoustic cello, piano and vocal works.

Neal Morse & The Resonance, No Hill For A Climber (InsideOut Music):
The latest project from prog rocker Neal Morse releases it’s debut album, giving some of his young collaborators a chance in the spotlight.

Sólstafir, Hin helga kvöl (Century Media):
The Icelandic metal band’s eighth studio effort “runs the gamut between” their “black metal roots and their penchant for tuneful, anthemic rock, all while maintaining sprawling instrumentation where it counts most.”
