KISS vocalist/bassist Gene Simmons is known for his many marketing antics. Let’s face it, outside wearing all of that makeup and giving fans everything they could ever ask for at a KISS show, Simmons is a smart businessman. According to societyofrock, the band is selling air-guitar strings. That’s right, invisible guitar strings for your invisible air guitar, selling at a price of $3.99 for an empty bag of plastic. The funny part is, people are actually buying it. Who are we kidding at this point and what will they sell next?

They are currently selling a KISS Pinball machine for just under $12,000, sterling silver KISS Pendants for roughly $500, an endless amount of holiday merchandise, and much more! What more do people need? We have already noticed  KISS Kaskets, KISS partnering with Hello Kitty, KISS Kondoms, KISS TVs, KISS Alcohol, KISS and Family Guy, and a KISS photo bomb app. One thing we can say is, even Simmons’ son Nick thinks this piece of merchandise is a bit much:
