By now, you’ve seen the trailer for Dave Grohl’s Sound City documentary. And you likely already knew that the film’s soundtrack would include collaborations Grohl recorded with numerous musicians featured in the documentary (using the actual soundboard that used in Sound City Studios). Now we know who will appear on which song on the soundtrack, due out on March 12.
Now available for pre-order, the soundtrack’s track listing has been officially revealed. And as previously revealed, musicians like Paul McCartney, Corey Taylor, Trent Reznor, Stevie Nicks, Josh Homme, members of Rage Against The Machine, Kyuss bassist Scott Reeder and many others appear on the song. In fact, one track boasts Grohl, Reznor and Homme on one track (potential sneak peak at what we can expect on the new Queens Of The Stone Age album?). However, there are some names we noticed missing from the track listing that were previously confirmed, including members of Ratt and former Black Sabbath drummer Vinny Appice. With that said, there’s still a chance for them to appear on bonus tracks.
Check out the track listing (including who appears on which track) after the jump, as well as listen to a studio version of “Cut Me Some Slack” (the new song Paul McCartney performed with the surviving members of Nirvana at the 12-12-12 benefit show and on Saturday Night Live this past weekend).
