Trent Reznor is a busy guy, recording new music with How To Destroy Angels and composing video game theme songs. Hell, he might even start recording new music with Nine Inch Nails. And now it turns out that his jam-packed schedule includes collaborating with Queens Of The Stone Age.

Yesterday (November 13), Reznor took part in a Reddit AMA Q&A feature. When asked “Aside from destroy angel’s new EP, what’s next for you?,” the NIN frontman gave the following response:

“A number of things. Tweaking some things for the HTDA full LP (coming in Spring), helping Josh out on a new QOTSA track, working with Roy, starting rehearsals for two bands.”

The idea of Reznor and QOTSA frontman Josh Homme collaborating in some form is enticing enough. As you’ll likely recall, though, it was just announced that Dave Grohl will be recording drums on the new QOTSA album. Granted, Reznor’s role on said track isn’t exactly clear. However, the idea of Reznor, Homme AND Grohl performing on the same track is a mind-blowing concept.

Reznor gave plenty of updates on his multiple projects during the Reddit AMA session, including that his Year Zero mini-series is being put on hold. It’s also worth noting that when discussing his involvement in Nine Inch Nails’ 2008 Lights In The Sky tour, he makes an effort to end with “Cryptic additional comment: 2013.” Maybe he’s hinting that Nine Inch Nails is one of the two bands he starting rehearsals with (as he says in the comment above)?
