Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs, Death Hilarious (Missing Piece):
According to the UK stoner metal band’s bandcamp, their fifth studio effort is a “diversely punishing record which shapeshifts through Sabbathian doom, grotesquely minimalist noise rock and cyclical post-metal fortissimos.”
Bleed From Within, Zenith (Nuclear Blast):
In a review by Louder Sound, they say the Scottish band’s seventh studio album “doesn’t just raise the bar for Bleed From Within, but dares everyone else to match its vitality, fury and lofty ambition.”
L.A. Guns, Leopard Skin (Cleopatra):
Frontman Tracii Guns said of the veteran hard rockers’ 15th studio album, “This one was a different approach. Musically, it was more about James Brown and soul music, with some ’70s sensibilities — things like Joe Walsh and The Rolling Stones and the New York Dolls.”
Smoking Popes, Lovely Stuff (Anxious and Angry):
The Chicago pop-punk outfit release their first new album since 2018.
Mizmor & Hell, Alluvion (Gilead Media):
The two doom metal bands combine their musical abilities for an album meant to “be used as a map to help navigate the listener through bouts of psychic distress, touching upon emotions both terribly familiar and wholly extrinsic.”
