March 28, 2025 Release Highlights:
The Darkness, Dreams On Toast (Cooking Vinyl):
The hard rockers release their eighth studio album, which Blabbermouth says “captures [the band] in their finest form, celebrating their influences, strengthening their sound, while also embarking on avenues never heard from the band before in a grand display from a passionate, hungry and inspired collective.”
Arch Enemy, Blood Dynasty (Century Media):
The Swedish melodic death metal band releases their 12th studio effort, “throwing out the rule book” and returning to the “chaotic” style from their early days.
Memphis May Fire, Shapeshifter (Rise):
According to frontman Matty Mullins, the metalcore band’s eighth studio effort “is about exposing those parts of ourselves we often keep hidden. It’s a journey through the layers of deception, self-reflection, and the struggle to find what’s genuine in a world full of pretense.”
Sick Puppies, Wave the Bull (oneRPM):
After nearly nine years, the Australian hard rockers are back with their sixth studio LP, a concept album “that thematically, lyrically, musically, and sonically double down on the narrative that it’s not about what life throws at you, it’s about the way in which you face it.”
Underoath, The Place After This One (MNRK Heavy):
After premiering a handful of songs as the mysterious Locus Ultra, the post-hardcore band releases its 10th studio album. Inspired by their history, guitarist Tim McTague said of the work, “there’s something beautiful about the idea of not just abandoning everything when things get weird. Whether it be your faith, or your band, or your marriage, or your relationships. The idea that there is a place after this one, even if it’s with the same people or it’s with the same God, or it’s with the same town.”
