Things have taken a turn for the worse in the fight for Warbeast/Rigor Mortis frontman Bruce Corbitt’s life. The singer is currently in hospice care on a 24-hour morphine drip to manage his constant pain.
Corbitt posted a video from his hospice room to Facebook this past Friday (11th) to update his fans of the situation. Throughout the 10-minute video, he noted that he will “never stop fighting,” even though he’s also preparing for the worst, and thanks to his fans for the constant support.

Back in 2017, Corbitt was diagnosed with esophageal cancer, forcing him to retire from performing. Following an unsuccessful round of treatment and news that the cancer metastasized, things began to look grim as it was thought that he might only have a couple of years or less to live. That is until last April when he saw some positive effects stemming from a clinical trial his doctors enrolled him in. Corbitt even performed with Warbeast for the first time in more than a year this past summer.

Corbitt mentions in the video that he is in the process of writing a book to raise money for his wife and family. A fundraiser for his medical expenses is currently at $20,000 of its $50,000 goal.

Our thoughts go out to Corbitt and hope he will recover from this.
