Guitarist Tommy Church quits Mushroomhead

We can only speculate about the future of Mushroomhead and they’ve been making it easier for us to assume they are moving towards an uncertain path. We are already shocked about Jeffrey “Nothing” Hatrix leaving the group after being with them for over twenty-five years, and now, it looks like they are down another member. Last night (8th), guitarist Tommy Church decided to quit the band. He announced his departure with the below Facebook statement.

It is with a heavy heart tonight i announce that i have left mushroomhead. I will miss all the crazy, loyal and most amazing fans and family i have made over the years and you will always have a special place in my heart. I wish Mushroomhead well in turning the page to this new chapter of life. It was an amazing adventure!”

A few weeks prior to Church’s announcement, he introduced his new metal project Skin with the release of their new song “Under My Skin.”

As far as Mushroomhead are concerned, they seem to have already moved on to their next chapter. The group shared a video on their Facebook stating “all shows and tour are still happening.” It looks like they found a replacement for Hatrix as they shared a video telling him “Thanxx For Nothing.”
