After the departure of Ronny Munroe back in September, Metal Church has officially announced the return of Mike Howe as their new singer.  After his decision to step down from Metal Church’s frontman role back in 1998, Mike retired from the music industry and had been living in Tennessee with his family, but back in 2014, founder and guitarist Kurdt Vanderhoof asked Mike to rejoin Metal Church. While he agreed, the singer decided to not make it official until he was certain that the integrity of the new material was there, as a press release says.

“I didn’t want to come back to Metal Church just for nostalgia. It had to be for the right reasons. It had to be the best stuff we’ve ever written together or it just wouldn’t be worth it to anyone, especially the fans.”

Metal Church will have a new album out later this year, according to Rat Pak Records’ Facebook page.
