Whatever your genre of choice, there is no denying the scope of influence Michael Jackson had over the course of his career. Even esteemed metal musicians carry a torch for the late King of Pop, and now there will be an audio record of it via the album, Thriller – A Metal Tribute to Michael Jackson, coming out just in time for Halloween, October 22, on Cleopatra.

We’re predicting the covers of “Black or White” by Lajon Witherspoon of Sevendust, Bruce Kulick formerly of KISS and Troy Franklin of The Firm, as well as “Billie Jean” by Corey Glover of Living Colour and Phil Campbell of Motorhead, will be epic.

Hopefully, video remakes are also in the works. Even though we’re not sure that the “Thriller” video can be produced any better, it might make our Halloween to see Chuck Billy of Testament jamming amongst the living dead in honor of Jackson.
