While the internet is split between satisfaction and disappointment on the HBO Game of Thrones series finale, there’s one thing everyone should agree on: the soundtrack. Unfortunately, this doesn’t include Metallica’s “For Whom the Bell Tolls” but it consists of thirty-two dramatic tracks by the Award Winning Game of Thrones composer Ramin Djawadi. The soundtrack is digitally available now as the double CD is scheduled to arrive on July 19th and a vinyl release for later this year.

Not only will you find the 9-minute masterpiece of “The Night King,” it also includes “The Rains of Castamere,” the song featuring System of a Down’s Serj Tankian. We’ve heard Tankian perform this song back in 2017 during the Game of Thrones Concert Experience.

Djawadi explained about the soundtrack concluding the series:

“The music for season eight concludes the story arc of Game of Thrones. Though it’s tough to say goodbye to the series, I hope this soundtrack transports the listener back to the world of Westeros. It’s been such an honor to be a part of this incredible show for the past eight years.”
