Mastodon members appear on ‘Game of Thrones’ (again)

If you’re a fan of Game of Thrones, you’re probably both exhilarated and really bummed about last night’s episode. Exhilarated because last night’s season finale was amazing and set up an amazing final six episode season. Bummed because we might have to wait until 2019 to see how things wrap up. And [SPOILER ALERT!] now that the wall has been breached and the White Walkers will begin their march with a zombie dragon in tow, it seems like next season is going to be nothing but action as the final six episodes draw the series to a close.

At any rate, Mastodon’s Brent Hinds and Bill Kelliher made yet another appearance on the show. It’s pretty awesome that what seemed like a one-off  a few years ago as the band (minus Troy Sanders) got murdered, then came back to life has turned into recurring roles as the undead, with Brann Dailor on this season’s first episode and the other two with a brief cameo in last night’s. The band’s appearance on the show makes up for Ed Sheeran’s earlier this season. Show producers D.B. Weiss and David Benioff are fans of the band, which might explain why they keep appearing. Too bad we’ll have to wait a while to see if they’re in the last season, but for now, you can see them at the left in the photo above.
