As we say goodbye to 2023, we wonder what festivals we should visit in 2024. The landscape of offers is immense, and the lineup structures of festivals are changing as time progresses. In my opinion, these are the 5 festivals you shouldn’t miss in 2024.

Rockstadt Extreme Fest in Romania this year, by the largest and heaviest festival in Eastern Europe. This year, the cartel includes bands like Dimmu Borgir, Opeth, Amon Amarth, Pendulum, and many more. The singularity of this festival is not only their fatty line up, but it would be the single moment in which you could see the Teutonic Four (Kreator, Destruction, Tankard & Sodom) all in a single day as announced recently by the organization of the festival, This is a very rare occurrence as they have only been seen together in Germany. Also, it’s been announced that Abbath will be performing Immortal material from his early career with the iconic Black Metal outfit at the festival. This, along with the many other bands, will make this festival really special.

In order to give you an idea of how to tackle this monster, here are some tips: If you are coming from the USA, the best course of action will be fly out to Frankfurt, Amsterdam or Paris. From there fly out to Bucharest of Cluj Napoca, from there a train or a bus to Rasnov will do the trick. If you are not planning to camp, staying in Brasov is the best option then, you can commute to the festival grounds every day.
