Mushroomhead’s highly anticipated DVD Volume III will be released tomorrow (17th). It is the follow-up to 2008’s Volume II and 2005’s Volume I as drummer Steve “Skinny” Felton recently told us that it will be “a little bit more cinematic.” Today (16th), the group has premiered a music video for the song “Devils Be Damned.” The track is taken from 2014’s The Righteous & the Butterfly and was filmed inside the Ohio State Reformatory aka Shawshank Prison.
Felton commented about the video:
“‘Devils Be Damned’ [was filmed at] the Mansfield Prison [Ohio State Reformatory] which is also the prison where the movie The Shawshank Redemption was filmed. So there’s a cool backstory there. There’s a scene [in the video] where the little girl is crawling through the tunnel – that’s the same tunnel that Tim Robbins crawled through at the end of the movie – you know, the whole ‘Andy Dufresne – who crawled through a river of shit and came out clean on the other side.’ line – that’s the same tunnel she crawled through.”
