While they’ve been talking about doing it since the kickoff of Gigantour, former Metallica members Dave Mustaine and Jason Newsted joined each other onstage last night (11) in Toronto on the last date of the tour. The pair played “Phantom Lord,” a song Mustaine co-wrote that appeared on Metallica’s first album, Kill ’em All. While Newsted opted to sing instead of sing and  play bass, it was still a pretty great moment for fans of Megadeth and Metallica. It’s not the first jam session to take place on the tour: Slash, David Draiman, Zakk Wylde and Vinnie Paul performed “Cold Sweat” on an earlier date of the tour.
