Iron Maiden play video games at the Speed Of Light

Last week the Iron Maiden camp announced  the release of a new song, “Speed of Light,” and that it would come a week later, and that’s today! The video for “Speed of Light” was produced and directed by the creator of the Eternal Descent comic, Llexi Leon, and this is his first-ever music video.

Said bassist Steve Harris on this new album,

“We approached this album in a different way to how we’ve recorded previously. A lot of the songs were actually written while we were there in the studio and we rehearsed and recorded them straight away while they were still fresh, and I think that immediacy really shows in the songs, they have almost a live feel to them I think.”

The Book of Souls is Iron Maiden’s first new album since 2010’s The Final Frontier, and it’s their first ever double album. This 16th studio album comes out worldwide on September 4th, a date which was pushed a bit as vocalist Bruce Dickinson was battling cancer earlier this year.
