Ghost’s final ‘Meliora’ clip goes all in on Papa

The album cycle for Ghost’s third album Meliora is drawing to an end, and it’s been a good one. From the cryptic late night ad that we broke the story about over two years ago to the just-released video for “He Is,” the album has seen the band grow to a headliner, win a Grammy for first single “Cirice”and open for Iron Maiden. There’s also been quite a bit of controversy over who Ghost even is, with Tobias Forge unmasking himself amidst a court battle from former members. Whether or not the band actually is a solo project, Papa Emeritus is certainly the star of “He Is.” There’s not a Nameless Ghoul to be found, and this has Papa Emeritus III in Elvis mode. If you’re a fan of the band, you’ll certainly enjoy seeing Papa free of vestments, wearing a white suit and getting all Pentacostal preachery in the Zev Deans-directed video.

In the Facebook post about the clip, the band states “Now we bid adieu to our third psalm… the party is over.”
