Lately, Ghost have been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons. Papa Emeritus, or Tobias Forge if you will, has been accused of running the band as a solo project, and lawsuits have been filed by former members. It was even enough for him to break character to give his side of the story. Perhaps that’s why it was so refreshing to see Papa join Kreator last night on German show Circus HalliGalli for “Satan Is Real.” First of all, it’s amazing that Kreator appeared on late night TV. Granted, this is Germany, where they’re from, but still…

It’s even better than that, though, because in addition to Papa, Drangsal singer/guitarist Max Grubal was dressed as a nun on the other side of the stage. The two dutifully stand motionless, singing the chorus and blending into the backgroud until the middle of the song, when they come to center stage and waltz with each other for the guitar solo. Bonus points to Kreators’ Mike Petrozza for wearing a Zeal and Ardor shirt.
