Ghost have been talking about replacing Papa Emeritus II since last May, with word coming earlier this year that the new Papa is, “the three-month-younger brother of GHOST’s previous frontman, Papa Emeritus II.”

Whoever the ghoulish figure really is, the band just released a minute-long clip, officially introducing Papa Emeritus III, showcasing his fancy new costume (designed by B. Akerlund) set to the music of, “From the Pinnacle To the Pit,” one of the two tracks released so far from Meliora (you can hear “Cirice” here). The full track is streaming below, and available for download with a pre-order purchase on iTunes.

All of this hoopla, of course, is leading up to the August 21st release of Meliora on Loma Vista, the band’s third album, and first new studio effort since the 2013 release of Infestissumam.
