07) Vexed – “Misery”

Vexed have released a video for their new song “Misery.” The track is taken from the group’s upcoming album Culling Culture, out May 21st via Napalm Records (pre-order here).

The band comments:

“Anxiety is a demon powerful enough to posses anyone and can leave the strongest of us feeling helpless. “Misery” is an inner monologue of an anxiety riddled mind constantly overanalysing and catastrophising. Taking inspiration from a spectrum of genres, this track is a true musical representation of how drastically our thoughts can change from one moment to the next, often ending in confusion and “Misery.”

08) Steve  Von Till (Neurosis) – “The Spiraling Away”

Neurosis guitarist/vocalist Steve Von Till has released a video for the song “The Spiraling Away.” The track is taken from his upcoming album, A Deep Voiceless Wilderness, out Friday (30th) via Neurot Recordings (pre-order here).

09) Alluvial – “40 Stories”

Progressive technical death metal outfit Alluvial are gearing up for their sophomore album, Sarcoma, out May 28th via Nuclear Blast (pre-order here). The group has shared a video for their latest single “40 Stories.”

Guitarist Wes Hauch comments:

“I’m really all chips in for every song on ‘Sarcoma,’ but ’40 Stories’ is one that we’re especially proud of. It was originally going to be an instrumental. The lyrics are loosely based on a suicide story, and it’s one of a handful of songs on the record where I sing. I think we are always going to have a strong footing in the sound that’s been established with ‘Ulysses’ and ‘Thy Underling,’ but ’40 Stories’ kinda poured out of us.”
