Where there’s smoke, there’s usually fire. One leaked date was enough to get the rumors swirling about a possible Slayer tour with Testament and Carcass. Thankfully, today the tour has been confirmed and it will kick off in Chicago, IL on February 19th, 2016. Slayer’s Fan Club will get first crack at tickets starting today, while the general public can buy tickets this Saturday, December 5th (details here).
According to the press release announcement:
“For this upcoming tour, fans can expect to hear many of their favorite Slayer songs selected from the band’s 30-plus year discography, as well as a few of the brand new ones.”
They’ll be a variety of VIP packages available, including access to Slayer’s soundcheck, and the chance to stand side-stage to watch the band come out and play their first three songs. Slayer will be touring in support of their latest album, Repentless, which debuted at #2 back in September, their highest debut ever. Tickets go on sale for Slayer’s fan-club today at noon local time, presales tomorrow (4) at 10am local time, and to the general public on Saturday (5) at 10am local time.
