Slayer have been pretty great at picking out bands to tour with lately. A few years ago, it was Gojira, which probably turned the French band on to a lot of aging Slayer fans and perhaps also got some younger people primarily going for Gojira to check out the headliner for the first time. They then toured with Exodus and Suicidal Tendencies, which was a guarantee to get some 40-somethings out to see them. And apparently, the only way they agreed to play this past year’s ill-fated Mayhem tour was the addition of King Diamond.

The reason we bring this up is that according to Blabbermouth, they’ll be touring next year with Testament and Carcass. They cite a leaked date at Philadelphia’s newest venue, The Fillmore, on March 3rd. While that’s not on the venue’s website and there’s no ticket information available, presumably the full itinerary will make its way out sometime next week. With all three bands having a legacy of 30 years to draw from, it’s an elite lineup. We’ll bring you more information as soon as we have more.
