In an appearance that will hopefully bring less controversy than their first, Guns N’ Roses has recently announced their second Las Vegas Residency, No Trickery! An Evening of Destruction. What was pretty much the worst kept secret, Axl Rose and the “new” GN’R will host their new residency at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino from May 21 through June 7 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
“If some is good, more is better!” Bobby Reynolds, vice president of booking for AEG Live Las Vegas, told USA Today. “That’s our take on welcoming back Guns N’ Roses to The Joint. Our first residency with GNR was fantastic in every way imaginable. The band and the fans loved the venue, and the business was great for everyone else involved. We want all of the Guns N’ Roses fans across the globe to come see what one of the iconic rock ‘n’ roll bands can do when they have the best venue in the world to do it in, in a city made to party. We are gearing up for another epic residency.”
No Trickery! An Evening of Destruction marks nearly a year and a half since Guns N’ Roses’ first Vegas residency. Not only did the first residency find GN’R spanning their chart-topping hits from Appetite of Destruction (1987) through Chinese Democracy (2008), but also found them filming in 3D (which we’re still waiting to find out when it’ll ever see the light of day). Tickets to the second Las Vegas residency will go on sale February 21st at 10am through AXS.
There will be nine shows in the residency: May 21st, 24th, 25th, 28th, 30th and 31st and June 4th, 6th and 7th.
