We’ve always said that KISS is one of the bands perfect to play a Las Vegas residency. And this fall, it’ll finally happen!
After weeks of rumors, USA Today officially announced Kiss Rocks Vegas, a nine show residency taking place at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino beginning November 5. “Whatever you’re used to with Kiss, this will pump it up that much more,” Paul Stanley proclaimed to USA Today. “If KISS is on steroids, this is a double dose.” “The activation will encompass the entire property for the month they’re out here — from the performances onstage to wrapping the hotel with KISS stuff to having team members wearing Kiss shirts,” promised Chas Smith, vice president of entertainment at the Vegas Hard Rock.
Sure, it’s become a trend lately for hard rock legacy acts to do Vegas residency. But as we said before, KISS was almost born to play Vegas. Hell, they even have a mini golf course and wedding chapel in Vegas. So it’s more surprising that it’s taken this long for a residency to happen.
Tickets go on sale Friday at AXS.com, and range from $49.50 to $225.00 (not too bad for a Vegas show). Dates for the residency can be seen below.
