The Ghost Inside aren’t physically able to play Warped Tour

Following The Ghost Inside’s awful bus accident in 2015, the music industry rallied around them and their recovery. We’ve been following the band as they come back from their injuries, including drummer Andrew Tkaczyk, who lost a leg as a result of the accident. One of the most encouraging things to come from their accident was from the Vans Warped Tour, who announced the band would be on this year’s version of the tour, giving fans, and especially the band themselves, something to work towards and look forward to. Unfortunately, vocalist Jonathan Vigil had an update today, and it’s not a great one.

Vigil thanks everyone for their support, but unfortunately, the band haven’t recovered as much as they’d hoped, and they’ll be unable to play the Warped Tour this summer. “It is our driving force to  be able to get back to play one day, but we thought it was going to be a lot sooner than it actually is,” he says. They don’t have a time figured out when they’ll return to the stage.

For their part, the Vans Warped Tour have stated that as soon as The Ghost Inside are ready to play again, they’ll have a slot on the stage, which is a nice gesture and still something for the band to work towards.
