Canadian death metal outfit Harvested have teamed up with Metal Insider to premiere the playthrough video for their song, “Voices of the Void.” The track is taken from the band’s latest album, Dysthymia, continuing the group’s blended style between old-school death metal and deathcore.
Formed in 2019 from members of projects like A Scar For The Wicked and Sons Of The Nether, Harvested has quickly built a reputation for their heavy, brutal, and technically sharp sound. Lyrically, “Voices of the Void” explores dissociation and psychological turmoil, themes that run throughout the new record.
On the album, guitarist Mitchi Dimitriadis comments:
“This album is the evolution of our sound. We’ve taken influences from technical death metal giants like The Zenith Passage and Cattle Decapitation, but stayed true to our roots. Dysthymia is a level-up in every way—production, songwriting, and performance. We pride ourselves on being athletes with our instruments. It’s not just about brutality, it’s about groove, cohesion, and constantly challenging ourselves.”
