Essentially, since all shows and events have come to a complete halt, Venues and artists have been scavenging new ideas to keep businesses alive during this time of COVID-19 uncertainty. While we all feel like we’re living in a science-fiction film, the day of quarantine and relying on digital technology is here whether we like it or not. Whether it’s for business or to keep everyone entertained, bands and venues have been bringing in the first wave of redefined live-entertainment: live stream videos. A new YouTube channel launched last week with Machine Shop Live!, we also saw Cro-Mags’ live Quarantine show, as well as Code Orange, Dropkick Murphys, and so forth. As of Sunday evening (22nd), all of New York is on PAUSE, which means non-essential businesses remain closed as everyone must stay indoors. During this dark time, Brooklyn’s music venue, Saint Vitus Bar, which is temporarily closed due to this pandemic, has launched a new interview series.

Starting tonight (23rd), Dave Castillo (Confines, Primitive Weapons) and Chris Enriquez (Spotlights, Revolver Magazine, Primitive Weapons, Total Meltdown), will interview artists every night at 8 PM for the duration of the quarantine.

For those who enjoy the interview or want to tip to Saint Vitus bar, you can make a payment to the bar’s Venmo account (username: saint-vitus-bar). All proceeds from the Venmo tip jar will go to the entire Saint Vitus Bar staff.
