Abysmal Dawn was one of the last bands to complete their tour before the COVID-19 pandemic cancelled or postponed just about everything. However, the California death metal act was forced to cancel their listening parties in both New York and Los Angeles for their new album Phylogenesis, which will be released this Friday (17th) via Season of Mist. The group has now announced a virtual listening party for their first record in six years. The party will happen a little bit early, and for those who are working at home, no one will see what’s really in your spiked coffee. The event kicks off tomorrow (14th) at 11:00 AM PDT/ 2:00 PM EST. All four members of the band will be present for a live Q&A throughout the stream, which will take place at this location.

The group commented:

“Unfortunately, our listening parties in NYC and Los Angeles had to be cancelled for obvious and understandable reasons. To try and make up for it, we’ll be hosting a live stream of our new album and virtual Q&A with the band on Tuesday. So if you’re going a little stir crazy, let’s listen to some metal and have a bit of fun.”
