glassjawIf you keep wondering how much your favorite bands make when they head out on the road, Billboard‘s Boxscore released their latest batch of earnings and attendance from many artists, and we’ve summarized them here for you.

As we get deeper into the year, we are also getting away from reporting on earnings and attendance from last year and now we can see how bands have been doing on 2016. This week, we won’t see huge numbers from bigger bands like the previous few ones we’ve done but we still have more AC/DC numbers to reiterate why they’ve been insisting on touring without Brian Johnson. Many bands are touring across North America at this time and we may see those numbers in a few weeks from now but our touring seasons are Spring and Fall as many bands head over Europe for their festivals. Considering what we’ve seen before, these dates were careful planned and organized by the local promoters because most of them were either sold out or nearly sold out to the venue’s capacity and that’s important when booking tours; to make sure you don’t overestimate the attendance and get an oversize venue, which most likely is more expensive to rent than a smaller one. Having said that, we’re sure if Tool or AC/DC had the chance to play a bigger venue than the ones listed here, they would’ve made a lot more money.

Black Metal enthusiast from Los Angeles who thought was a good idea to grab a camera and shoot underground shows for the hell of it. Pseudo-writer with little to no expectations of ever winning a Pulitzer but totally down to write about your unknown band if it's good to my ears. I enjoy long walks on the beach, deep conversation, holding hands and attending Satanic music shows every now and then.
