Revocation parted ways with drummer Phil Dubois very recently with nary a hint of drama; Dubois had been with the band for nine years, and it was just time for something new. Today, the band announced a familiar face will be taking over – former 3 Inches of Blood drummer Ash Pearson is officially the new drummer of Revocation.
Said Pearson of the move, via Facebook:
“I am very honoured to be joining Revocation. Phil is a good friend of mine and I feel privileged to have his blessing and to be his successor. I take seriously the challenge to keep the caliber of this band high and look forward to continuing the legacy of Revocation.”
Pearson has become available since 3 Inches of Blood announced earlier this month that they’re breaking-up, and will play their last show in Vancouver, Canada on November 7th.
