Among all the people seemingly splitting with their bands left and right, Phil Dubois from Revocation released a statement regarding his departure from the band and, unlike other bands who don’t seem to be in the same page, now we have official confirmation from the Revocation camp on the split:

“Hey everyone, as some of you may have heard, Phil has decided to pursue other projects and is stepping down as drummer of Revocation. We’ve had a great nine years together and are sad to see him go. We wish him nothing but the best with his future endeavors and we’re all sure that he will continue to kill it behind the kit. Be on the lookout for Phil‘s new project and stay tuned for more info regarding his replacement.”

It’s good to see a band approaching this kind of change in a light-hearted note and now instead of being sad for seeing Dubois leave, now we can look forward to the new project he’s working on. Another hint that everything is kosher, guitarist David Davidson still have the humor to comment about Miss May I’s new album, familiarly titled Deathless and tweeted the following:
