galaktikonWhat’s up with Dethklok? That’s a question that’s been asked by everyone from Metallica to creator Brendon Small himself. And while there’s still no confirmation on if or when Metalocalypse will get closure, he did confirm today that another one of his projects will get a sequel.

In 2012, Small released Brendon Small’s Galaktikon, a solo album that he did himself. The album, while featuring Dethklok’s rhythm section of Gene Hoglan and Bryan Beller, was more melodic and rock-oriented than Dethklok, and was recorded before the second Dethklok album. The concept album, which he referred to as an “audio comic book,” was initially only available via his website. At any rate, a tweet earlier today confirmed that he’s working on a follow-up album, Galaktikon II. There’s not too much more known, or even what “in production” means, other than another post suggesting that Hoglan already did some drum tracking last week.

Im very excited to announce that this is currently in production… #galaktikonII
