With week one of the NFL wrapping up with a double header tonight, the 2014 NFL football season is in full swing. We’ve already given you a look at some picks from the likes of GWAR, Exodus, Abysmal Dawn and more, but there are many that play heavy music that are huge football fans and proud of it. With that in mind, this week’s top five is devoted to some of the biggest football fans out there that are also in some of the heaviest bands out there.
5) KISS and Mötley Crüe’s Vince Neil and their AFL teams
Okay, maybe KISS and Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil are more money fans that football fans. They are, however, heading up a the LA KISS and the Las Vegas Outlaws, respectively, in the Arena Football League . The NFL’s bratty younger brother attracts the same fans that KISS and the Crüe, and it’s a little less restrained and corporate than the NFL. Lemmy did the coin toss, the arena features girls dancing from cages, and it’s pretty much like going to the world’s biggest sports bar/strip club from the looks of it. Considering that Vince Neil actually owns strip clubs, it’ll be interesting to see what he if he ups the ante with the Outlaws next year.
