Metal Inside(r) Home Quarantine is Metal Insider’s new column during this time of isolation due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We asked artists five questions on what’s been keeping them busy ranging from their favorite movies, food they’ve been eating, music they’ve been listening to and more. We caught up with Next Door To Heaven guitarist Evgenii “Gene” Mazunov as he’s been spending this time working.

What have you been doing to pass time during Quarantine?

Actually, full lockdown didn’t last here in St Petersburg long – a few weeks last spring but the borders are mostly closed still. I always had a lot of work to do every day so the only thing I’m not comfortable with – lack of gigs.

Have you been listening to any music or have any playlists worth checking out?

Crystal Lake – Watch me burn, Eskimo Callboy – Hypa Hypa.

A lot of people have been spending this time cooking including making their own bread, what food have you been prepping during this time?

I finally learned to cook condensed milk. Mmm, it’s so good!

In terms of entertainment, what movies, TV shows, books, or games have been keeping you busy?

I wanted to watch The Crown and Stranger Things for quite a long time so during the lockdown I had a chance to do it. Speaking about books: The Strugatsky brothers – Stalker, Stephen King – Laurie.

What advice do you have for your fans in isolation during this time?

Watch less news and listen to music!
