There are tons of songs about sports, but probably not that many bands named after athletes. Last year, Los Angeles Dodger Yasiel Puig inspired members of Kowloon Walled City, Curl Up & Die and Thrice to form Puig Destroyer, a grindcore band devoted to the outfielder. What started as somewhat of a joke has become less of one, and now the band’s debut full-length album will be released on No Sleep Records on September 30th, which is conveniently right around the time the post-season starts. To get baseball and grindcore fans psyched, the band have partnered with sports site Deadspin to premiere the 49-second “No One Cares About Your Fantasy Team.” It’s really  more of a hardcore song than a grindcore song, but they speak the truth. It’s that time of the season where baseball fantasy teams end and football fantasy teams pop up, and the only person that cares about your damn fantasy team is you, or maybe whoever you’re in front of in it.

Here’s how the band describes the album:

Puig Destroyer has returned just in time for the 2014 MLB Postseason with their debut self-titled full-length record that will undoubtedly whip fans into a frenzy. The album features 20 bat crackin’ tracks like “No One Cares About Your Fantasy Team,” a furious 49 seconds of frustration, “Tommy John,” a track solely dedicated to the infuriating losses due to ulnar collateral ligament reconstruction, and “Underdog,” a bench-clearing, motivational ass-kicker.

If you pre-order the album for $7, you’ll get an instant download of the album’s closing track, “Mike Trout.”
