Nails sign with Nuclear Blast, new album coming

If you haven’t checked out Nuclear Blast’s roster recently, you should. In our humble opinion, it’s absolutely stacked, and one more awesome band just got added to that roster. If you haven’t heard of Nails yet, they’re a band that specializes in “grindcore/death/punk tyranny” according to vocalist and guitarist Todd Jones. They’re quickly been rising through the underground metal scene by impressing fans with their work ethic, and brutal live performances.

The band currently has two full length albums out. The newest of which, Abandon All Life, was released last year in March through Southern Lord records (who also have some very impressive bands like Sunn O)))) and Sleep). This might one of the first times a band has jumped from Southern Lord right to Nuclear Blast. If you want to get a feeling for what the band is all about, check out a the title track from their latest album.

If you need more to sway you, Max Cavalera said Nails was “probably the heaviest band right now,” and said their latest album was “one of the best albums of the last 20 years.” Along with their new deal with Nuclear Blast, Nails as announced a fourth album as well. There aren’t many details on the new album right now, but it will hopefully be released sometime in early 2015.
