Former Kyuss and current (?) Vista Chino vocalist John Garcia says that he’s been planning on releasing a solo album since he turned 18. It’s only coming to fruition now, and John Garcia will be released on Napalm on August 4th in the United States. “My Mind,” which leads off the album, features former Garcia’s former bandmate in Hermano, Dave Angstrom.The album features collaborations with everyone from Danko Jones to his former Kyuss cohort Nick Oliveri, and The Doors’ Robbie Krieger even pops up. The video was first debuted on Noisey, which also features an insightful interview with Garcia. Among the nuggets of information is that he’s in no hurry to record another album with Vista Chino, his band with former Kyuss drummer Brant Bjork.
