Metal By Numbers is a weekly column in which we look at the top metal sellers and debuts of the week.

What a week! The end of August (queue 36Crazy Fists) had many notable debuts from all over the metal spectrum. Topping the charts was Turnstile with their impactful debut, crushing the metal competition. This week’s fun addition to the charts was Pawnee’s greatest band, Mouse Rat. For those who are unaware, Mouse Rat is fictional band from the TV show Parks and Recreation created by Chris Pratt’s character Andy Dwyer. Now there’s an actual album and it’s even #17 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales. Lastly, I want to apologize to our favorite visitor Henry, as Evanescence did not come back to life. I really thought they would return. Instead we saw the return of Anthrax’s Charlie Benante, Night Ranger, and Blacktop Mojo.
