This past April, KoRn bassist Fieldy was unable to join the group on their South American tour. Instead of cancelling most of their shows, the nu metallers did the unthinkable and recruited Tye Trujillo, the 12-year-old son of Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo. According to his father, Tye took the roll very seriously and at one point, he joined his son as well. Regardless, we were taken back from Tye’s professionalism and were lucky enough to see him jam with Suicidal Tendencies. During KoRn’s South American trek, the band’s videographer, Sébastien Paquet, created a 15-minute documentary entitled KoRn and the Prodigy Son.
