vimic-2016-3A few weeks ago, We got to hear the first new music from Vimic, the band formed from the ashes of Scar the Martyr. The band, essentially founded by former Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison, features the majority of StM’s lineup, but with a different singer, Kalen Chase. The band debuted a song called “Simple Skeletons” a few weeks ago via SiriusXM, and now they’ve returned with a video for a different song, “She Sees Everything.” The song was debuted last night on BBC Radio 1’s Rock Show with Daniel P. Carter. Musically and visually, the song has some similarities to the band Jordison cut his teeth on. It has somewhat of a nu-metal vibe to it, with Jordison’s busy drumming happening, and somewhat disturbing images of a killer dragging a woman through a forest to a shallow grave. Lyrically, the song appears to be about drug addiction, especially given that “heroin” is one of the lyrics.

The band’s debut album, Open Your Omen, will be out later this year. You can pick up “She Sees Everything” at all digital music providers.
