As you know, it’s November. And while there aren’t really too many songs about Thanksgiving and we’re not ready for holiday music yet, we’re fine with nominating Guns ‘n Roses’ anthemic power ballad “November Rain” is the official song of this month. And so far, it’s doing a pretty good job of living up to it’s reputation. At Guns N’ Roses’ Porto Alegre, Brazil show,  some guy got down on his knee as the band played the song and proposed as the song played in the background. Aside from the fact that they’re both being “that guy” and wearing GN’R shirts, it’s still a touching moment.

Meanwhile, the international reach of the Guns n’ Roses continues, as a Finnish band that sounds like they’re from the Appalachians has put their take on the song and made a video for the song. The band’s hillbilly-esque take on the song features them sitting around on the steps of a farmhouse, chopping wood, making moonshine, hanging out by a fire and setting traps in a stream. It’s certainly a much less epic clip than the original video.
