Sports talk show host Dan Patrick has embraced metal since it’s been on the air. With Hatebreed’s Jamey Jasta shouting the theme to the “Stat of the Day” and GWAR taking the reigns for “Wheel of Punishment,” it can’t be said that Patrick doesn’t have an appreciation for the heavy stuff, or at least recognize that his audience does. But Ron Burgundy? The infamous San Diego newsman stopped by Patrick’s show to talk about Anchorman: The Legend Continues, and had his own take on Jasta’s “Stat of the Day” theme song. In fact, he did three versions of the song. After stating that he thought Patrick was “losing viewers and listeners” by Jasta’s theme song. In between his own version and a jazz version, he “covered” Jasta’s version, which was pretty epic. In fact, Burgundy’s versions were enough to get Jasta to notice – all the way from Australia, which he Tweeted about.
