If you were to ask nearly any Megadeth fan what the band’s best albums were, they would likely bring up the Marty Friedman era of the band. On November 11th, some of those will be getting the reissue treatment, as the band’s output from 1986 – 1993 will be reissued on picture disc vinyl via UMe. Peace Sells…But Who’s Buying?, So Far, So Good… So What!, Rust In Peace, Countdown to Extinction and Youthanasia will be released. Each album will come with it’s cover art reproduced on vinyl. It will mark the first time the albums, all of which are platinum, will be available as picture disc vinyl in the U.S. Dave Mustaine himself oversaw the remastered mixes. If you’re a vinyl collector that appreciates the band during their prime years, looks like you’ll be laying out some cash on the 11th. Doesn’t look like they’ll be coming all that cheap though, according to the pre-order.
